Firstly, we are so overwhelmed and grateful for all the love and support that we have received from our family and friends throughout the planning process leading up to our big day. We can’t wait celebrate with you all!
We are getting married in Cloughjordan House, Cloughjordan, County Tipperary, on Saturday November 30th 2024.
Things of Note:
The celebrations build throughout the day, with a drinks and canapé reception right after the ceremony, followed by a sit-down meal. Thereafter we have a lively traditional-Irish-style wedding band to entertain our guests which is then followed by a DJ.
Midnight munchies will be served to keep those energy levels up, so our guests can continue to dance the night away!
Typically, an Irish wedding culminates in a singsong well into the early hours of the morning so bring you party piece and be ready to be called for a song or a dance! (No pressure of course!)
It is not customary in Ireland to have a rehearsal dinner, mostly to avoid the risk of having sore heads on the day of the wedding. Instead, in recent times, day two celebrations have become a thing of tradition, and we look forward seeing those of you who can make the BBQ and music for our day two celebration in the Asado at Cloughjordan House.
Although the bar at Cloughjordan House will take card payments on the night of the wedding, it is advisable to also bring cash (in the event of any technical issues). There is an ATM (Cash Machine) in the local shop in Cloughjordan village.
Put on the glad rags! Irish weddings tend to be dressy occasions. Think glam and go for it!
